Hi there, Tahitian dancing, or Ori Tahiti, also known as tamure, is a dance form from Tahiti, in Polynesia, so u can say it's a Polynesian dance...dances from Polynesia varies from island to island in detail and meaning:) But what most of them have in common is that they all tell a story, since none of them had a written alphabet except from the people of Rapa Nui'E...good luck w taking classes, u can take Ori, hula or even learn dances from NZ done by the Maori!

I agree w/shakadakine....ANYONE can dance it doesn't matter from where & yes we all need improvements but it's the joy we get from dancing. I danced for almost 11yrs bt even in those time I still needed to improve myself & still am...KUDOS to all those out there that are dancing & enjoy doing it.
