Good to know. It's easily to be misinformed about these things. I have an English back ground. I don't really have much experience in these rather impressive dances.

Jesus what a complete butcher. Did they even look at the youtube videos to practice for this ?? As a kiwi Im offended. You shouldnt be allowed to screw a national teams pride like this... These guys should all be fined for this. Cant wait to see an NZ rugby team running around in clown suits singing the gay spangled banner.. surely would be better than this ??

Fucking pathetic. They should have tried this rubbish against the NZ All Blacks. The kiwis would have stomped 42 flavours of shit out of them for mangling the haka.

They do there own war dance now called the Sipi Tau, a tongan war dance since they have a lot of tongans on their team. But, you can't blame these guys for doing the maori haka they just want to represent there polynesian ancestory and the maori haka is the most popular war dance so they might as well do that.

To all you knowledgeable peeps out there, THIS 'Haka' is from NZ. It was invented by Te Rauparaha, the warrior chief of Ngati Toarangatira. It is not Samoan, or Tongan, it is Maori! Yes it has 'origin' from the pacific islands, from which we came, but it is Maori, made by Te Rauparaha, a Maori! And it is in someway martial movement, some Haka actually teach strikes and blocks, both parts of Martial art teaching. Funny, everyone "knows" but I am the only one with Maori in their name, IM PROUD!

or do you go softball sucks because the ball is easier to hit! do you go short track speed skating is soo much more better than regular speed skating! who cares if rugby guys slam into each other without pads! yet you never hear of rugby players with age increasing migraines that make a 40 year old look like he's 60! you never hear of rugby retired players with over 100 surgeries, they are different sports and for different reasons! yet they are both entertaining

who cares if these guys are not exactly doing it right, hte point is that they are one in spirit and are channelling their inner warrior spirit which means that they are doing what they can to get the fans involved and excited as well as get into the spirit of the game! btw I dare anybody who loves rugby soo much to play football and see if you think it's not tough. stop comparing the two sports! they are different games for a reason! jees do you go water polo sucks because it's not real polo?

CC25Y :

so what, it's still a dance! salsa and merengue and bachata dance styles are similar just different speeds and different directions yet they are still dances and people feel good about dancing with those styles same with the haka, people feel great when they do it! so who cares of who copy's who! to care about that is so childish and petty. be glad that other nations and people use the haka, at the end of the day the love is spreading and the joy of harmony is what counts, isn't it?

Just because you're not maori doesn't mean you aren't allowed to do a haka.

Watch a video of new zealand doing their traditional haka, and tell me that the lyrics are different. They are speaking in maori, which is the original language of new zealand. This is just a rip-off version of the real thing.

This isn't the all blacks' haka. The haka that the all blacks perform is a historical haka first used almost 200 years ago.
